At Kenya Highlands University, education is more than lectures, assignments, and exams; it is a journey of transformation that shapes both the mind and the heart. Our commitment is to integrate faith, life and learning.
As we begin this semester, spiritual department is introducing a dedicated one-hour session where students will meet with their care leaders and fellow group members. These gatherings are designed to create a safe and supportive space for meaningful, personal connections. In a time when many students face challenges silently, such intentional moments of engagement can make a lasting impact.
In preparation for this initiative, we thank God for the successful training of care group leaders who will be serving in the newly formed groups. The training was organized by the Chaplaincy Office, led by Rev. David Maritim, with the support of UDM representatives under the leadership of its Director, Dr. Kennedy Kirui. During the sessions, leaders were equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively guide, support, and mentor their members.
Care groups are more than just scheduled meetings;they are communities where students can share, listen, and grow together. Whether it is through conversations about life, encouragement during difficult moments, or celebrating victories, these groups foster a true sense of belonging.
