We had the distinct privilege of welcoming Dr. Billy Coppedge, a visiting faculty member from Scotland, who is accompanied by his two daughters, Sophy and Chloe, during this period of ministry at the University.
Dr. Coppedge ministered during today’s chapel service, sharing a message from Mark 1:14 centered on the call of Christ. He urged the congregation to repent and return wholeheartedly to God, allowing Jesus access to every area of our lives, even those marked by hurt or disappointment. Emphasizing that genuine revival flows from complete surrender and unwavering obedience. He reminded us that spiritual renewal begins with a personal encounter with Jesus and a faithful willingness to follow his voice.
Drawing from Christ’s earthly ministry, Dr. Coppedge reflected on how Jesus began with a small circle of devoted followers whose readiness to serve led to transformed lives and the expansion of God’s Kingdom. In the same spirit, he challenged the university community to embrace their calling as fishers of men, noting that life finds its true meaning and direction in God.
Beyond the chapel, Dr. Coppedge is currently facilitating a series of rigorous and enriching sessions for Master’s students in the Seminary. These sessions are designed to strengthen students’ capacity for careful biblical observation, responsible interpretation, and meaningful application of Scripture. His teaching is building their confidence in preaching and instruction while preparing them for faithful and impactful ministry around the world.
His presence reflects Kenya Highlands University’s continued commitment to nurturing Christ-centered leaders equipped for transformative service in the Church and society.
The service saw the presence of students, faculty, and staff and was graced by the University’s top management led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Kiplangat.
